Zavetišče pod Špičkom (2064 m) stands on the edge of a scree slope above the Zadnja Trenta Valley, beneath the steep and striking peak known as Špiček. Due to its location along the route to Jalovec, the hut is a popular stop for many hikers.
From the hut, a stunning view opens up to the surrounding peaks that embrace the upper part of the Soča River Valley.
